While trail riding at dusk, my precious Rio was impaled with the remnants of a survey stake. As far as we could tell he must have held it down with his front foot and as his hind was coming up the stake went into the top of his coronet band, straight down...

This is my great mare, Lil Shota Firewater (Little Bit) winning a WPRA Barrel Race in Arcadia, FL on July 4, 2009. A few weeks prior to this event, Little Bit had been running slightly off. Little Bit isn't just my horse or a tool to win, she's my other half - my partner and whenever she's not herself, I immediately call Dr. Kuebelbeck...

I just want to thank you all so much for all you do, have done, and will do. Myself and my horse, Romeo, got the chance to meet some of you last year in July. Romeo had a terrible accident that injured his scapula/shoulder area....

Archie my 17.2 hd Warmblood, is all about food. On a beautiful Saturday morning at feed time,
he got frustrated and kicked his stall wall. Unfortunately the wall had bars about 4 feet up, and he ended up
getting his leg stuck in the bars. He remained calm, since he probably knew he was in a bad way, and had to
be chain sawed out. Fortunately he didn't break anything, but ended up cutting his leg badly. The "barn vet",
suggested he go straight to Surgi-Care. I had heard wonderful things about Surgi-Care, so I knew he would be
in good hands, but what I didn't know or expect, is how wonderfully caring the vets and staff are. Archie ended
up staying for approximately 2 weeks, and I drove up to see him each day from Sarasota. He was always happy
in his clean stall with clean dressings, and the doctor would call daily with updates on his condition. They would update me in laymans terms, so I would understand exactly what to expect. From the vets, to the assistants, to the office manager, they exceeded my expectations. Archie is now back home healing, and I'm still in touch with the doctors to let them know of his progress. I can't thank everyone enough at Surgi-Care, who took incredible care of my "big boy". I would highly recommend Surgi-Care.

Dear Dr. Richter,
I had promised I would send this article to all of you. It appeared in our monthly newsletter for the horse club I belong to. I hope you remember my little white Paso, Laredo that you all took such excellent care of.
Thank you all and may God bless you in all the work you do.

Dr. Richter, Dr. Kelly & Staff,
How can we ever thank you for what you have done for Mia? We've had her home for 4 days now. We still can't believe how blessed we are to have her with us after everything she's been through. It's because of you all and the wonderful care that she is able to have this second chance.
Thank you for not giving up Dr. Richter in the surgery room. Mia thanks you too!! We will never forget what you did for her that day.

We have enjoyed a long association with the doctors, office and barn staff at Surgi-Care. It is comforting to know an equine facility with veterinarians of this caliber is available here in Central Florida. Before Surgi-Care, we had a 3½ hour drive to Gainesville. In case of an emergency, travel time is of the essence.
Most recently our coming 3 year old, My Special Dynasty or "Sid" as he is known around the barn is starting his career under saddle thanks to the successful colic surgery performed last year at Surgi-Care.
Thru the years the entire staff at Surgi-Care has not only shown us and our horses how much they know, they have shown us how much they CARE!!!

I have traveled and competed all across the U.S. and I have yet to come across another practice with veterinarians and staff that match the level of skill, dedication, knowledge, and care than what Surgi-Care provides for my horses. Their compassion and service extends well beyond the walls of the clinic. I expect the best out of my barrel horses and I believe that they deserve the best veterinarians out there. That's why I will only entrust the care of my barrel horses to the veterinarians at Surgi-Care. Having Surgi-Care behind me gives me a sense of security and protection so that I can relax and enjoy what I do. I consider myself privileged and blessed to have them in my corner.

Just a note to say thank you for your very good care for our mare, Donna Calimaba, who lacerated left front foot on our new horse trailer last March.
She started back in training early in July, and is now back to the point where she was when misfortune struck.
Enclosed find a current photo. The scar became quite small. The bulb of the heel is slightly mishapen. The hoof may always have a crack, but the foot does its job!
Kind regards,

To: Dr. Kuebelbeck, Dr. Padgett, & the Great Surgi-Care Staff
Both of us (and Molly) want to thank you for the wonderful care Molly received at Surgi-Care. Not only did Dr. Padgett arrive as quickly as she could on the nigt Molly was in distress, she helped me find someone to trailer her to the clinic as my husband's truck was parked at the airport, and I didn't have a vehicle to tow our horse trailer. Dr. Padgett's soothing manner with both me and Molly was so ... read the entire letter (pdf).
